During a frantic search for six-year-old Simon Barlow who had gone missing in Blackpool under the supervision of George and Eve Wilson during March 2010, Simon's father Peter and partner Leanne Battersby promptly left Weatherfield and joined in with the search upon hearing about his disappearance from a guilt-stricken Eve. Scouring the immediate area, Peter spotted a young boy on a fairground ride and clambered up to discover that the child - who was wearing similar clothes to his son when he was reported missing - wasn't Simon.
