The reason why Micaiah is so annoying is because she is weak. The reason Micaiah is so weak is because she is -(Spoiler)-part heron-(/Spoiler)- and they are by blood not meant to fight. Although get her to third tier (you will have to anyway) and she can use staves which makes her suddenly a lot more useful. Fire Emblem Wikifor more info!
