Renée Elise Goldsberry portrayed Mimi in the 2008 proshot, "Rent: Filmed Live on Broadway." She was the final Mimi in the original Broadway run, although the exact dates of her portrayal are not known. She was born in San Jose, California and was raised in Michigan and Texas.
