Malik Lu was a redpill Zion operative and one of Morpheus' friends. In the Zion mission, Sympathy From a Friend (Episode 1.2), he is among the first people the players must speak to in order to find out the locations of Morpheus or to even find a way to dissuade Morpheus from his rash actions. Unlike the others, Malik Lu gives the player an insight into the goals of Morpheus and what drove him to his actions.
