Mickey Flynn was an American pilot in the 20th and 21st centuries. He flew combat missions against the Race's Conquest Fleet's killercraft when the Fleet first arrived on Earth in 1942. After the Peace of Cairo, Flynn became an astronaut, and in 1963 he was selected to serve aboard the Lewis and Clark in the asteroid belt. A little more than 20 years later, he was selected to serve aboard the Admiral Peary on its journey to Home, and went into cold sleep in preparation for this trip.
