Not really- Mexican food is largely based on native dishes that were cooked long before the Spaniards arrived, but many Spanish influences remain in Mexican cooking. For example, Spaniards brought onion to North America and took corn back with them. Also, the word tortilla just means tortilla in Mexico, a thin corn or flour bread used to wrap foods or fry and then serve. In Spain, it's a completely different thing- something like an omelette.
