The zymuth gland was a gland in Axanar anatomy. It produced the organic compound triglobulin and released it into the blood. In 2151, the crew of Enterprise NX-01 encountered an Axanar cargo ship containing several Axanar corpses attached to tubes and bio pumps. Doctor Phlox expected to find a zymuth gland when one of the bodies was autopsied and indeed did. He noted whoever had killed the Axanar crew had likely been trying to collect triglobulin.
