Bevan Dufty is an American politician and a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. He represents District 8, which includes the Castro, Noe Valley, Glen Park, and Diamond Heights neighborhoods.He is the son of writer William Dufty and Maely Bartholomew. A Democrat, Dufty was elected a supervisor from the city's eighth district in 2002 before being re-elected in 2006. His current term expires in January 2011.
