The Kalderan Alliance was the primary government and military force for the Kalderan people during the Kalderan-Vedran War. During the war between the Alliance and the Vedran Empire, the alliance was crushed and absorbed into the Empire and, in turn, became part of the newly formed Systems Commonwealth. Although very little is known about the war, it is clear that they did manage to reverse engineer a slip-capable ship after they captured a Vedran vessel, and in doing so made the Kalderan people slipstream capable.
