Oliver was like any other regular Skypiean, atleast as regular as a Skypiean could get. He was in his teens when Skypiea was saved from Eneru's rule by Pirates, and from that moment he knew he wanted to be just like them. So he took a ship down to the Grand Line and eventually found himself being recruited by a pirate crew that reminded him of the Straw Hats, the Numbered Pirates.
