Bukem(VLF0??) was born on October 13, 2000 in the Lazuli Mob. Her mother was Ziziphus and her father was Belgarion, who were the dominant couple at the time. When Bukem was just two months old, her mother died. Her older sister Haslam took over as the dominate female. She survived to adulthood and lived her first year in the Lazuli as a subordinate female under her sister. She often looked after her younger relatives and kept watch for predators. Haslam was overthrown by Cazzanna in 2001 and sometime later, Bukem was evicted by Cazanna along with Haslam. The new dominate female did not allow them to return to their mob either. They joined some Elveera males who had once been in the Lazuli and formed a new mob.
