Diet Food is a special dog food in Nintendogs + Cats that can cause an overweight puppy to lose weight. It can be bought from BARC for $5 after being unlocked with 850 Owner Points or by playing 6 days. Diet food is multicolored (light brown, dark brown) and when bought starts out served in a wooden bowl, unlike regular food, which is plain brown and first served in a metal bowl. However, the player can change what bowl the diet food is served in.
