Margaret and Val was a BBC Two comedy-drama television series that was a spin off to Today, Tomorrow & Yesterday, the loose adaptation of the novel of the same name. It features established characters Margaret Allsopp and Val Wilkins as they deal with Margaret's new found struggle at running a manor house she inherited from a family member. It also stars Rob Brydon as Val's husband Jeff. Series 2 saw John Bell and Thomas Brodie-Sangster reprise their roles as Colm and Benji in a recurring capacity, while Dawn French joined the show for it's third series. The show ended after 5 series on December 25th 2027 due to Margaret actress Sue Johnston's retirement, but a sequel series 'Val's World' was confirmed shortly after.
