Minister of Science Doctor Augustus was called on to solve the murder of the daughter of Ignatius. He had to kill Ignatius to keep the secret of humanity's past. He was the father of Dr Zaius. Dr. Augustus was succeeded by Zao as Minister of Science, who was succeeded in turn after thirty years by Dr. Zaius.
