Corporal Dixon assisted Captain Platt in defusing the bomb that was found under the flags of Albert Tatlock's backyard at 1 Coronation Street in September 1964. Originally from Stepney in London, he told his superior officer that he was a boy of two during the London Blitz and had no memory of those events.
