Short on cash, both men decided approached a major HoloNet film studio with a script that they had largely plagiarized. Pleased with the script, the producer allocated them a large budget, which they spent a small fraction of buying a studio and enough film equipment to make it look like they were doing something. To give the illusion that they were making progress, the conmen over time transferred the budget money into separate bank accounts. They also made sure that the majority of the film crew were droids and programmed them to inform the producer that filming was on schedule, to avoid suspicion.
