The RG570 features a basswood body with a one-piece maple neck attached with a tilt joint with a metal plate. The Wizard neck has a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. The RG570 has Ibanez V1 and V2 humbucking pickups flanking an Ibanez S1 single-coil which are mounted to the body with pickup rings. For 1989 through 1991, the bridge is the original Edge double locking tremolo; the Edge was replaced with the newly introduced Lo-Pro Edge for 1992. Also for 1992 a new quartersawn maple neck was introduced. Other components include a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
