His Eminence Theophylactos (Papathanasopoulos) was the Metropolitan of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Australia and New Zealand from 1947 to 1958. Before his consecration, Archimandrite Theophylactos served as a parish priest in Melbourne. He was elected to the rank of Metropolitan on April 22, 1947.
