The kharhd was a hairy, short-legged beast remotely related to the bison. Thriving in the dark Tumarkhazâd woods, they stood only three to three and onle-half feet at the shoulder and could move through the unique forest with ease. The Dwarves used them as beasts of burden, and a few had actually been harnessed as mounts. They had two sharp, curving horns, which they used to defend themselves and challenge one another for dominance. Kharhd were omnivorous herd animals.
