by Hootsbuddy I have good news and bad news. The good news is that the US military adventure in Iraq will wind down and casualties will be reduced to politically acceptable levels. The bad news is that reduction will not happen until after the next presidential election. Even then, a US military presence in Iraq and the rest of the region is permanent. These lines by Arianna Huffington set me to thinking... Right on target, I'm afraid. How does this work?
