There has been much confusion over the dating of the events depicted in the novel Star Wars: The Old Republic: Fatal Alliance. While the chronology of Star Wars literature in the inside of the book indicates that the events take place in 3,650 BBY, the actual novel seems to indicate otherwise. A much more considerable length of time appears to have passed, especially if you examine Satele Shan's progression from Threat of Peace to Fatal Alliance. In addition, in this thread, Leland Chee confirms that the book does not take place in that year.
