POPULATION: INFO: Evergreen is the second largest city in Evergreen County, Douglas Island. It is located in the Shelter Bay Metropolitan statistical area. The town is located on the eastern shore of Shelter Bay and extends southward. To the north and west of Evergreen is the city of Shelter Bay. To the east is the city of Greenwood. The Pacific Ocean is the border to the west of the shoreline. The Evergreen Mountains are easy access and a backdrop to the city to the east. The climate is mostly mild summers and mild winters. The winters often have many cloudy days and rain.
