Avakuki (French: Kaloma) is the chief of the Arumbayas and first appears in Tintin and the Broken Ear and returns in Tintin and the Picaros. In The Broken Ear, he speaks to Ridgewell about the missing fetish. In Tintin and the Picaros, he offers Tintin, Professor Calculus, Captain Haddock, and General Alcazar particularly highly seasoned otnôsh. He attempts to drink a full bottle of whisky that contains Calculus's tube of tablets, but fails in the end. His name is a pun on the English phrase 'Have a cookie' ('ave a cookie).
