The Cave of Ancient Ways is the central cavern of the Ninjago Caves beneath the Ninjago Monastery. Players enter the Cave of Ancient Ways by traveling through the Ninjago Storeroom. From the Cave of Ancient Ways, players can travel to any part of the Ninjago Caves, marked by banners of elemental colors. An archway marked by earth and fire banners leads to the Cave of Black Echoes; an archway marked by lightning banners leads to the Cave of White Whispers; and the Ice Shrine is blocked off by a chunk of ice marked by an ice banner. The Ice Shrine can only be accessed by smashing an Ice Dragon statue, building an Ice Lantern, and passing through the ice barrier with Ice Spinjitzu.
