Whitey Brainard was a NASCAR driver from Monroe, CT. He was born in Hudson Falls, NY on April 18, 1924 and died on July 31, 2010. He competed in two Sprint Cup Series events in his career, earning one top-ten. Both of his starts came in 1954, when Brainard debuted at Langhorne. Starting positions in both of his races are unknown, but Brainard drove to a solid 7th place effort. He ran well in his other race, falling just a few spots short of a top-ten with a 13th place effort at Mechanicsburg.
