A Radiation zone is the place outside of any map that is unsafe for any ship due to it having a great number of radiation and will begin to damage any ship that attempts to enter it. It starts off at 1% of damage from you maximum health and increases every second you are there and will eventually increase to 5% of your maximum health. Note that being in the radiation zone also lowers your overall rank.
