The Ancient Legendary-Warriors are a group of ten hugely powerful warrior Digimon who have protected the Digital-World for eons. The Warriors original greatest battle, which also cost them their lives, was their titanic conflict with Lucemon ages ago in order to stop him from conquering the Digital-World and enslaving and corrupting all the Digimon who called the network home. The Warriors are also the ancestors of a vast number of Digimon species and they passed down their elemental powers to their descendants. They would eventually choose ten human children to become a new group of DigiDestined to inherit their Elemental-Spirits and gain the power to transform themselves into Digimon; these children in their Digimon forms are referred to as the New Legendary-Warriors.
