The Minnesota Golden Gophers were coached by Fritz Crisler for two seasons from 1930 to 1931. In those two seasons, the Gophers won 10 games, lost seven and tied one. In the Big Ten, they won four games and lost five. Biggie Munn was named an All-American under Crisler. Munn was also awarded the Chicago Tribune Silver Football, the only player under Crisler to win the award. Three players were named All-Big Ten first team.
