Mairn Villabo was a royal guard of Sanae and a close friend of Falzwin Caprico. He was tasked with destroying reports of the Blood Fever but instead he resigned from his post and hid the reports so that the world would know about the history of the Blood Fever. He left Sanae and went after a mysterious dark sage whom he suspected to be the one responsible for the Blood Fever outbreak. Mairn was never seen again in Remon, but he wasn't idle. He ended up on Khrima Island on Aison where he encountered the Syndicate and eventually founded the Keepers to protect Zeranafska and thwart the dark sage's plans.
