The Chelsaine Palace is located in Ebou Dar. Matrim Cauthon once followed Lady Shiaine to the palace. Mat later learns from Noal Charin that the palace is being rented by Jaichim Carridin, the Whitecloak Ambassador. Sammael visits the palace and Carridin to discover that Mat is in Ebou Dar. Sammael then leaves Carridin instructions regarding Mat. The palace is staked out by various members of Mat's party during their stay in Ebou Dar, including Mat himself, Vanin, and Birgitte.
