Johnny Blatt was a member of Frank Hackman's criminal gang, participating in a home invasion during which three people were killed, including one teen-aged girl. Blatt is more content to do small invasions and collect a steady score, but Hackman wants to do a big job, and feels Blatt is not up to it. As a show of his insecurity, he relentlessly abuses his girlfriend, Julia Adams both verbally and physically, getting more vicious as time goes on. After Hackman kills Caitlin Davies-Crockett, Blatt (who was from Chicago originally) returned there for about three weeks until Hackman was gone, then returned to Miami, only to be arrested on his activities, and gave up Hackman's location in ten minutes to the Vice detectives.
