Sarven was a Human male Ensign of the Imperial Army during the Cold War. In 3643 BBY, he was selected as a test subject for Ryler Dorant's work on weaponizing the rakghoul plague on the planet Taris. Dorant infected Sarven with the plague, turning him into a rakghoul. Under Dorant's control, he was ordered alongside Vorzoth to kill Havoc Squad, but was killed in battle.
