New Sarshel was a busy trade city of Impiltur. After the Spellplague the city captured some of Lyrabar's trade. Several members of Impiltur's ruling council lived in New Sarshel, which increased the city's influence. Prior to the Spellplague the city appeared on maps as Sarshel. There was also a New Sarshel on the eastern shore of the Easting Reach.
