La Vipère was a flagship of Christophe-Julien de Rapièr, the French pirate captain who operated in the Caribbean in the late 1720s and early 1730s. A brigantine, she was very fast and maneuverable. The ship was armed with deadly chase guns, useful for hunting down enemies.
