Following the war Magoseong forged a closely-knit treaty with Iwagakure, who was on the edge of an economic crisis. After the deposal of the Tsuchikage, the damage Iwagakure had suffered because of the war and its aftermath accumulated to a point where the country could no longer independently support itself. With the other Shinobi Countries effectively putting the village into this position, the Daimyo of the Land of Earth saw no other choice but to turn to Yulryeo for further economic, financial and military support, effectively turning the Land of Earth into a satellite state of Yulryeo.
