Makitru was a Matoran who lived on the island Myhore. In The Adventures of Tukei and Mavo, he is swinging on vines with his friend Chromosina, and they find Tukei and Mavo with a search party they have formed to find Akakuna and Kuakuuhu, who had gone missing. They head off to find them, and they come to a hollow log. Makitru falls through a hole in the log and finds a tunnel. The rest of the Matoran follow, and they find an underground river, which they try to cross. Tukei slips on the rocks and is carried away by the river's current.
