Retin Tarpals, son of Roos Tarpals, was Boss of the Gungans from 2 ABY to 4 ABY and one of the leaders in Naboo's revolt against the Empire following the Emperor's death. He first incited the uprising when he traveled the Theed and met with underground resistance leaders Denis Harjoil and Pene Dulks, who stirred the people of Theed into action. Forced back to the swamps after the arrival of Imperial reinforcements on Naboo, on the arrival of aid from the Rebel Alliance he personally led the Gungan army back out, and met his death in the ensuing battle, though his forces will ultimately victorious.
