Lee has illustrated greeting cards, McDonalds Happy Meal boxes, and magazines (including the regular "Bummers" cartoon feature in Dynamite). He illustrated joke books, beginning to read-books, a collection of horse cartoons (which have also appeared on calendars and merchandise), and Strangers, Lovers, Friends : A Marriage Book for the Very-Married. Beginning in 1985 with Cream of Creature from the School Cafeteria, Lee collaborated with author Mike Thaler on the Teacher from the Black Lagoon children's book series.
