The Restoration Cadre was a militant group that was associated with the Directorate; one of the military factions that dominated Cardassian politics in the aftermath of the Dominion War. In 2380, despite the elections of the Reunion Project, the Restoration Cadres and the Directorate dug in leading to battle that were both fierce as well as cruel which brought about needless loss of life that sapped strength from both sides.
