The Second Ottoman-Egyptian War, also known as the Second Turko-Egyptian War and the Second Syrian War was a conflict fought between the Ottoman Empire and the Khedivate of Egypt, ruled by the Muhammad Ali dynasty. It was fought over the contested regions of the Levant, chiefly the area from the Transjordan and Palestine, to South-Central Anatolia, regions claimed by both the Ottoman Empire and the Khedivate of Egypt. The war ended in a victory for the Ottomans, but only barely, due to the strength of their Egyptian opponents. In the Peace, the Ottomans reclaimed control of Adana and the rest of Egyptian Anatolia.
