Dom was an old boyfriend of Beth Sutherland's who she was at Weatherfield Comprehensive with and who she met again at a reunion for the class of 1991, held in Nick's Bistro in June 2016. Beth had been reluctant to attend, not keen to bump into Lindsey, an old nemesis of hers, but Kirk pushed her into going, saying that he would accompany her in support.
