Stake bracers were a mechanism employed by Angel Investigations while fighting vampires. The device was concealed under the wearer's sleeve and containing a single wooden stake; activated by a flex of the wrist, the device would unsheathe the loaded stake. Angel first started using these after he moved to Los Angeles, some time before he started Angel Investigations, and they have been used by other members, such as Fred, Connor, Gunn, and even Spike.
