In 1997 and 1998 Hot Wheels produced a basic suppliment to their Pro Racing line. This Basic Pro Racing Series featured the same authentic decos as their deluxe counter parts but featured a few cost saving measures, such as plastic wheels and bases and a few less details. Some of these casting would later join the main line for stock car themed releases. Shown below are the two cards used for this series
