Image:Colonists icon EUII.jpg In Europa Universalis II, a colonist is a kind of state agent that is used to create or expand colonies and trading posts. The number of colonists your country currently has is indicated in the status bar at the top of the main map, by a number located next to a blue ship icon. In addition, a country gets a bonus colonist with each explorer or conquistador that is generated, whether random or historical.
