When Forever Knight fans first started to organize into factions, there was some discussion among fans of Don Schanke as to the best name for their affiliation. Among the proposed names was Sluvakians. This was probably derived (in a misspelled fashion) from Schanke's fondness for eating souvlaki. Nevertheless, though the Sluvakians were mentioned during War One, the only Schanke fan who played preferred to use the name FoDs; and that eventually became accepted as the name of the faction.
