Bill Schermerhorn is Macy's creative director. Together with Wesley Whatley, Schermerhorn wrote the song "I Believe" for the 2008 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which was performed by Kermit the Frog and the "Camp Broadway Kids" as the finale of the parade before the arrival of Santa Claus. The song was nominated for a 2009 Daytime Emmy Award. A year later, the song was performed twice again, once as a duet with Kermit and Tiffany Thornton, and again reprised at the parade's grand finale featuring Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, and introduced by the kids of Stagedoor Manor and Camp Broadway.
