Plant Dragons are slow and slightly weak. They do have the Shadow Spell, but due to their low magical attack, it probably won't be doing too much damage to your party. While it's interesting that they're not weak against Wind or Fire, looking at them, physical attacks and magic of any sort works fine to take them down.
