Scrolls of danger are Scrolls that, when read, raise the Danger Level of the current dungeon by a random amount; thought to be a dice roll that depends on the scrolls' B/U/C Status(1d2/2d2/3d2 respectively). Scrolls of danger seem to stop working after hitting DL of 45. A scroll of danger is one of the items required for Gaab'Baays quests.
