Gevorian Freedom was what the Gevorian people called the war that lasted from 456 BBY to 445 BBY. The war was between the Gevorian rebels and the Maynian government. The Gevorian army won the war after the capture of Maynian leader, Syle Torrav, after the Battle of Belaham. The battle began after Syle Torrav took the Maynian throne and imposed laws that the northern regions of Maynus protested, Jacen Gevorian in particular. Jacen and his children attacked the Maynian army stationed in his home city of Groften. That was the first conflict between the Maynians and the rebels.
