The Republic of China is a nation in China and claims to be the true China. It consists of modern day eastern China and Taiwan. This was formed after the Volcanic Winter prolonged the Chinese Civil War, which would end up a stalemate. Since then, the two nations have had an uneasy peace, with war almost breaking out a few times (similar to North and South Korea). The area, like much of the world, has entered an era of starvation, and has became one of the poorest nations.
